The main differences are stability and maneuverability. Although both scooters are safe and stable, a four wheel scooter, because of its extra wheel, offers a more stable platform. It is the preferred scooter if you use outdoors and on rough terrain. The three wheel scooter is easier to maneuver and has a tighter turning radius.
